How to use this calculator

Pick your slip size, enter the hit rate you honestly expect per pick (55% is a strong long-run number), and your entry. The green line tells you which play pays more and whether it is +EV. Open the no-vig section and paste a sportsbook’s over/under prices for the same prop to see if it clears the breakeven. Copy the result to save or share your exact inputs.

Why line movement matters for PrizePicks

PrizePicks projections often lag sportsbook moves. When a book prop moves past the PrizePicks line, the no-vig probability on that side can clear the ~55% breakeven. The free Sunday email flags those moves; see steam vs reverse line movement, the line movement checker and this week's NFL line moves. Not sure which slip type to play? Try the Power vs Flex picker.

FAQ

What hit rate do you need to break even on a PrizePicks Power Play?

At standard payouts, each pick needs to hit 57.7% on a 2-pick Power (3x), 55.0% on 3 picks (6x), 56.2% on 4 picks (10x), 54.9% on 5 picks (20x) and 54.7% on 6 picks (37.5x), assuming independent picks.

What hit rate do you need to break even on a Flex Play?

Flex breakevens per pick are 61.8% (2-pick), 57.7% (3), 55.0% (4), 54.3% (5) and 54.2% (6). Flex pays with one or two misses, so it lowers variance, but it needs a higher hit rate than Power on 2–3 pick slips.

How does a PrizePicks breakeven compare to sportsbook odds?

A 54.9% breakeven per pick is like laying -122 on every leg. A standard -110/-110 prop is 50% no-vig, so you need props where the sharp side is priced around -122 or shorter to beat a 5-pick Power. Open the no-vig section above to check a specific prop.
